Battling Battles
Reba and husband Charlie Battles reached a point where their marriage was no longer working, as Battles felt that as his wife, she should be staying at home and be a housewife. Since Reba was constantly on the road, this wouldn’t work. In 1987, they divorced, and she said: “I had to pack everything in one day and leave. I wasn’t the little girl anymore, taking orders and doing what he said.”
